MORNING SERVICE OF COFFEE AND CONVERSATION and MEDITATION "Morning Brew" 9:00am (Morning Brew will not be meeting during the summer.) Morning Brew is a time of gathering where we discuss important questions we all have about God, Spirituality, Religion, The Bible, and other important topics. We have discussed topics such as: Do We Need Religion?, What's the Value of Going to Church?, and What Makes Prayer Powerful?
After selecting the morning brew of choice, we gather and check in with everyone. A time of quiet meditative prayer follows and then a discussion of the topic.
You can participate in any way you choose. It is not necessary to join in the conversation. If you would like to listen and observe that is fine. If you have a lot to say, your views are welcome. Some participants occasionally share music or a special verse.
This gathering grows organically as participants discuss varying viewpoints. We've tried to create a space for people who don't enjoy a traditional church service but want to be with others who want to grow spiritually. We place an emphasis on maintaining a healthy, safe place to ask questions about theology and beliefs. It is our hope that this type of gathering allows those gathered the freedom to explore without worry and without judgement.
I facilitate this conversation, but we all share in this together. Each Sunday I look forward to what this time can mean to all of us who join in.
