Located in Chalk Creek Canyon, several miles beyond Coalville is Camp Fellowship. For one week each summer campers, high-school age counselors, and adult staff gather for what is often the best week of the summer.
It’s a secluded place with rolling hills, pines, sagebrush, willows, and cottonwood trees. There are hummingbirds, raccoons, and sometimes you see moose. There’s time to hear the wind in the trees, spend sunny days under the pines, and glory beneath a shimmering blanket of stars at night. You can even see the Milky Way!
But even with all that, the people are what make camp so compelling. There are morning watches, evening vespers, singing, crafts, activities, dancing, campfires, skits, hiking, water balloon volleyball, and even Camper Klaus!
If you’d like to spend a week in the presence of God’s love, where acceptance, encouragement, and compliments are the expectation, then this is where you want to be.
Camp Fellowship is usually scheduled for one week in late July or early August. There is a fee to attend, but there are a number of scholarships available. Attendance is limited to youth who will be entering the fourth grade or older.
Many thanks to all who made Camp Fellowship 2019 such a success! Information on the 2021 camp is posted on the camp website at www.campfellowship.com, or you can inquire about camp through the church office at 801-487-1357.
Practice your happy camper walk!
